Student Uniform and Dress Code

Uniform Tops

Students must wear a BPA logo polo shirt purchased through Palmetto Screen Print & Embroidery in white, navy, Kelly green, or light gray. Tops must cover the chest, shoulders, back, and abdomen at all times, including when sitting, standing, or raising the arms; be clean and in good condition; and be an appropriate length. Tucking is optional. T-shirts, tank tops, crop tops, halter or spaghetti-strap tops, low-cut or sheer tops, and non-uniform hoodies or sweatshirts are not permitted.

Outerwear

Sweatshirts and pullovers must be navy, white, light gray, or Kelly green and have the BPA logo embroidered by Palmetto Screen Print & Embroidery. Cardigans and light jackets must be solid navy, white, light gray, or Kelly green; a school logo is not required. Only the official BPA hoodie sold by Palmetto Screen Print & Embroidery may be worn inside the building. Hoods may not be worn on the head indoors. Repeated violations may result in loss of the privilege to wear a hoodie at school. Any winter coat may be worn, but coats should be removed once students are in the classroom.

Uniform Bottoms

Uniform bottoms must be khaki or navy and may include pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, capris, jumpers, or dresses. A BPA logo is not required on jumpers or dresses. Navy or white tights may be worn under dresses and skirts.

Bottoms must be worn at the waist and fit appropriately. The hemline may be no more than three inches above the top of the knee, measured vertically. Clothing may not be excessively tight, revealing, or otherwise inappropriate for school. Athletic shorts or pants, sweatpants, pajama pants, leggings, yoga/spandex/lounge pants, fishnet or mesh fabrics, and bottoms with holes, rips, tears, frayed areas, or distressed designs that expose skin are not permitted.

Shoes

Permitted footwear includes tennis shoes, casual shoes, casual boots, Crocs, and sandals. Bedroom slippers, athletic slides, hunting or work boots, and shoes with wheels or lights are not permitted. Tennis shoes are required on PE days.

Socks and Tights

Socks and tights must be white, navy, tan, or gray. Patterned socks may be worn only under pants.

Physical Education (PE)

Students will not change clothes for PE. On PE days, students must wear the official BPA PE T-shirt purchased through Palmetto Screen Print & Embroidery, regular school uniform bottoms in khaki or navy, and tennis shoes. Athletic shorts, sweatpants, leggings, and yoga pants are not permitted for PE.
